  • Hypothesize why air pressure changes with altitude.
  • Interpret how air temperature changes with altitude.
  • Determine the layers of the atmosphere.

Assignment:  Reinforcement WS - Earth's Amazing Atmosphere. 

Wednesday
  • Analyze the composition of Earth’s atmosphere.
  • Hypothesize why air pressure changes with altitude.
  • Interpret how air temperature changes with altitude.
  • Determine the layers of the atmosphere.

Assignment:  Quiz.  Read/Outline pgs. 454-457. 

Thursday
  • Diagram what happens to solar energy that reaches Earth.
  • Compare the processes of radiation, conduction, and convection.
  • Evaluate the relationship between the greenhouse effect and global warming.

Assignment:  Read/outline pgs. 482-488. 

Friday
  • Determine how water moves through the water cycle.
  • Determine how relative humidity is affected by temperature and levels of water vapor.
  • Determine four different kinds of precipitation.

Assignment:   Four Corner Notes labeled water in the air, air masses and fronts, severe weather, and forecasting the weather.  Relative Humidity Lab planning.
