Assignment:  Present Picture Books.  Read 198-201.  Record Wegener's 4 pieces of evidence.

Friday
  • Describe Wegener’s hypothesis of continental drift.
  • Discuss how sea-floor spreading provides a way for continents to move.
  • Describe how new oceanic lithosphere forms at mid-oceanic ridges.
  • Explain how magnetic reversals provide evidence for sea-floor spreading.

Assignment:  Record Wegener's 4 pieces of evidence in notebook.
