  • State Newton’s laws of motion.
  • Understand that forces have both magnitude and direction.
  • Understand that gravitation is a mutually attractive force between objects and is a property of all mass.
  • Explain the difference between mass and weight.

Assignment:  Newton's Laws foldable.

Tuesday

  • Describe fossil formation and dating.
  • Recognize that sedimentary rocks form layers that can contain clues to Earth's history.
  • Understand evidence for glaciation and ice ages found in the geologic record.
  • Describe fossil evidence that supports the theory of continental drift.

Assignment:  Review stickies.      

Thursday
  • Use a model to better understand a natural process that cannot be observed directly.

Assignment:  Construct Pangaea out of paper.
